As we look ahead to the 2027 crop year, now is the time to get started. Fall fertilizer applications and cover crops can impact your Carbon Intensity (CI) Score and potential eligibility for additional compensation.
Through this partnership, Golden Grain Energy is going to accept Continuum Ag Verified CI Certificates® to help qualifying farmers capture added value for their bushels.

Important Additional program information
Implementing low carbon corn practices and delivering corn to Golden Grain could qualify you for premiums through our 45Z program
- Qualifying practices include the use of cover crops, nitrogen stabilizers or manure, and no-till/reduced tillage farming
- Corn must be delivered to Golden Grain within the qualifying year
- Must be willing and able to participate in verification processes
- Qualifying bushels may be limited based on program needs
- Program and premiums may be modified or closed at any time by Golden Grain Energy
- Participating in other feedstock programs may affect eligibility
