Responsible for overseeing the Operations department. Responsible for the safe operation of the plant to ensure maximum production quality and optimal efficiency while complying with all city, county, state and federal regulations. Responsible for the direct supervision of Production Supervisors, Assists with interviewing, hiring and onboarding of Operators. Works closely with the plant Maintenance department, the laboratory staff, and Operations employees to ensure optimal plant production and maximum facility performance.
Bachelor’s degree in chemical, process or mechanical engineering or related engineering degree preferred. Previous management/supervisory experience required. Strong knowledge of the ethanol production process and technology preferred, with 5 years of experience.

Responsible for loading semi-trucks and railcars with product using heavy equipment and machinery while working in a safe manner in all areas of the position. Accurately complete railcar and tank car inspections to ensure car is in proper loading condition before, during and after loading. Contribute to a team effort, complete required training, understand and follow standard operating procedures for operation of plant and associated equipment.
Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment. Experience in truck loading and unloading, railcar loading, front end loader, skid loader and railcar mover is preferred. Must have ability to lift at least 50 pounds, must have the ability to climb ladders and work at heights of at least 30 feet and must have ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Must have ability to work in all elements of weather, loud noise, and dusty conditions.
